We train you with a comprehensive curriculum that incorporates the latest advances in the profession, such as cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, intensive care or therapeutic exercise.

We gather theory and practice in a unique program so that you get a comprehensive learning and be able to prevent, diagnose and treat the different ailments with the most advanced treatments. You will learn with more hours of clinical practice than any other university in Spain. From the first year you will carry out simulation exercises in our facilities and, from the second year on, in clinics and hospitals. In total, more than 2,300 hours to learn the latest advances in physiotherapy and specialize.

In addition, we bring you closer to the profession with a free extracurricular training program of more than 200 hours in specialized areas of physical therapy.

We have advanced facilities that include 22 physiotherapy offices, both basic and specific, and our own University Polyclinic where you will work on real cases under the supervision of the faculty.

Among other factors, our 2,300 hours of practical training and state-of-the-art facilities—including laboratories, clinical simulation rooms, a Simulation Hospital, and specialized centers—have placed us at the forefront of this degree in Spain.

Qualified and active teachers

It studies with a teaching staff made up of qualified physiotherapists who combine teaching with their professional activity in hospitals, sports clubs, physiotherapy centers and clinics, as well as research.

Experiential Learning

In order for you to make early contact with the profession, you will have more than 2,300 hours of internships (60% of the total hours of the degree are internships) distributed among laboratory, cabinets, clinical simulation and external clinics in reference centers.

Internships start in the first year, with the exception of external clinical internships, which start in the second year. The internship groups are small, from 10 to 12 students in the simulated internships and two students per physiotherapist in the clinical rotations. We guarantee you a taylor-made learning system that focuses on the acquisition of skills.

State-of-the-art facilities

Make the most of your studies and use the 22 physiotherapy laboratories and clinical simulation room of the School of Medicine equipped with the most advanced technologies and furniture prepared for learning. In addition, we have our own University Polyclinic in the center of Madrid with 9 boxes and 3 multipurpose physiotherapy treatment rooms.

200 hrs of extra training in the most demanded therapeutic areas

We complement the undergraduate training with a unique and differential preparation of a postgraduate degree in the most demanded therapeutic areas in the work environment, in the form of optional specialization courses, at no additional cost to the student:

Manual Therapy (200 hours).
Sports Physiotherapy (200 hours).

Also, to bring you closer to the profession, we offer free optional theoretical and practical training from the second year onwards, where you can learn specialties such as Therapeutic exercise in musculoskeletal pathology (15h), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (5h) or Pilates (44h).

This way, once you finish your degree, you will be able to have several additional training complements to enrich your curriculum and have easier access to the labor market.

Market recognition

Our graduates obtain a quick and quality job placement. They are distinguished both for their excellent training and their values. Among the companies in which they work are the most important sports clubs such as Atlético de Madrid 1st division to the Basketball Students Club, the World Tennis Association (WTA) and Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the Spanish Wheelchair Basketball Team or the World Padel Tour, as well as musicals such as El Rey León (The Lion King).

Professional internships in prestigious centers

You will be able to carry out professional internships in centers and clinics such as Club Atlético de Madrid, Club Estudiantes, Centro Estatal de Atención del Daño Cerebral, Asociación Española de Esclerosis Múltiple, Fundación Pita López, Centro de Atención Temprana Little by Little or the different public and private hospitals with which we have agreements.

International Program at Arcadia University

The Differential Diagnosis & Intervention program at Arcadia University (Philadelphia, USA) is a specialized training in differential diagnosis and treatment of pain. New University Clinical Simulation Hospital

In recent years there has been an increased demand for professional physiotherapists to meet the needs of a population with longer life expectancy and with it, an increase in the number of chronic diseases.

You will be able to work both in the private sector (practices and clinics) and in the public sector (hospital network, social and health services, etc.). And you can also combine your knowledge as a physiotherapist with teaching and research. This career offers a wide range of possibilities of specialization such as pediatrics, neurology or sports and a great variety of career opportunities.

Internships are the central axis of this Degree and are approached from different areas: laboratory, simulation in cabinets and clinic and external clinical internships in reference centers.

The latter are performed after the second year, when you have acquired the basic knowledge to properly treat patients. In addition, you can do them outside Spain, in prestigious hospitals and clinics. We have more than 150 agreements with entities, hospitals and clinics in Spain and many others internationally.

To ensure the quality of this practical learning, you will have a clinical tutor and an academic tutor.
